Hargreaves Images

Hargreaves Images - a portfolio site for the fashion photography of Tom Hargreaves.

It's built, like most sites I build these days, around Expression Engine CMS. And it's an incredibly simple site. It's unusual for me to build a site with almost no text content on it, and in terms of SEO it's not exactly ideal. However, like most photographer sites, it's all about the images. The photographs should speak for themselves and there really is nothing more supporting text can add. So it's gone.

Similarly, there's not much I can say about the website. It's a series of photo galleries - one for each photoshoot. On uploading a new photoshoot, Tom can select a black or white page colour from the admin page which is a nice touch in being able to best complement the photographs. And because these are fashion photographs intended for magazine use, they are presented on the site as a 2 photograph spread. It's a great touch, nothing hugely unusual but something a bit different from the typical single image gallery presentation.

The page templates are there only to support the photographs, with no design fluff to distract from them. It's all about the photographs - so go check them out.
