Organic Arts

April 16, 2010

I found out today I'll be starting work on a new Organic Arts website. It's run by the same guys responsible for Love Local Food who's website I launched a few months ago.

Similar to Love Local Food, Organic Arts is a not for profit organisation based in Exeter, in their own words:

OrganicARTS promotes the arts and rural issues through educational visits and walks, classes, workshops, community projects, exhibitions and performances. These take place at West Town Farm, other local farms and in the wider community.

I'm looking forward to working on the site, which once again will be built with Expression Engine CMS. I'm planning on a sort of inside out build process though. My plan is to set up Expression Engine and get all the content loaded in while I'm working on the design and implementation.

A couple of days ago I discovered this website which included a fantastic resource of 100 inspiring web designs. I've already sent this over to the guys at Organic Arts as a starting point for the project.

An article by John O'Nolan whose site I've linked to above also referenced how he'd picked up a big client from his posts on Twitter. I'd not been convinced by Twitter, but he has just about convinced me that maybe there is some merit in it after all. I'll Tweet more on this soon, I guess ...
